Raised on the Upper West Side, Ruth brings a lifelong connection to New York City together with decades of experience navigating its evolving real estate landscape. She earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in sociology from New York University and a graduate degree in education from the University of California, Berkeley before returning home and building a relationship-driven real estate practice grounded in trust, discretion, and long-term client care.

Ruth holds bachelor's and master's degrees in sociology from New York University and a graduate degree in education from the University of California, Berkeley. She grew up on the Upper West Side and has lived in New York City for most of her life.

Outside of real estate, Ruth enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and exploring the theaters, museums, and restaurants that have long made New York City feel like home. Her son, Robert Reffkin, is the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Compass International Holdings, and watching the growth of Compass has been one of her proudest personal experiences.
